What’s the Worst Thing That Could Happen?

What’s the Worst Thing That Could Happen?

April 28, 2016

You put yourself out there.

You share a moment of vulnerability.

You admit your challenges, your fears, your self-perceived deficiencies.

You own up to a failed effort.

You ask for help.

You cry.

What’s the worst thing that could happen?

You might be laughed at or made fun of.

Your reputation could be tarnished.

You could feel ashamed.

You might lose a friend or a colleague or a client.

You could be considered weak.

They might say, “No.”

Maybe.

Alternatively…

They might see you as very human and rather relatable.

They might respect you more.

They might throw business your way.

They could feel proud of… or envious of… or connected to… you.

They might even wish they were just like you.

They might ask you for advice… or out for Coffee or Lunch.

They could feel closer to you and invite you into their community.

Opportunity may come knocking on your door.

Success might be yours for the taking.

I guess you just never know.  I mean, what’s the worst thing that could happen?  It takes one second of courage to put yourself out there.  Go on.  Give it a try.
